 Best Known For:

Favorite Foods: banana, kale, parsley, cilantro, romaine lettuce, basil, dried pineapple, walnuts, baby carrots, papaya, grapes (only if bitten in half by Dad first), and Kaitlin.
Attack Bunny: When Spencer had the run of the living room, she was particular about who she would let enter her space. Human daughter, Kaitlin was one who did not deserve the privilege, according to The Queen. Spencer would watch for her and if she saw Kaitlin coming her way, she'd hide behind the chair and lie in wait, ears flat back and crouched down low. When Kaitlin would step into the living room (to get to her own room), Spencer would charge her and bite her ankles, sending Kaitlin flying over the barrier to get away from the attack. This was a daily occurrence.
"The Welcome Rabbit:" Spencer was the first rabbit in the house and wanted it to stay that way. When other rabbits came into our family, she welcomed them by showing her teeth and slicked back ears, followed by repeated lunges, and snapping. She showed her hospitality by pooping all around her area and peeing in designated spots.
Loving Wife: With great effort, Spencer was bonded with her husbun, Paddington. She puts her head down to be groomed and he usually obliges. When she has had enough, she snaps her teeth at him. She is Queen of the Castle. She sits inside her cottage and won't let Paddy enter. He sits just outside the entrance. If Paddy get closer than she wants at any given time, she nips him (this is where he draws the line however, as it results in a grand chase - Paddy after Spencer until Spencer gets the message to back off).
Guard: We have a new bunny, Scout, who lives on the third floor of Spencer and Paddy's condo. She plays in her own pen until she is bigger and can hopefully be bonded with the duo. We put the pens close together, but not touching, so they can get used to each other. Spencer spends 90% of Scout's pen time guarding the pen. She sits with her ears back, nose to the pen, and watches Scout's every move. If her concentration is interrupted during guard duty, she lunges and nips at the intruder.
Scent Detector: Mom must wash arms and hands thoroughly after handling other rabbits (except her husbun) or she is reprimanded for being disloyal. Mom always gets the sniff-over before she can pat Spencer. If she passes inspection, Spencer lets Mom pat her. If not, Mom either gets her hand bumped off of Spencer, a nip, or the bunny butt (back facing Mom).
Demolition Expert: Spencer has single handedly dug up and chewed at least ten holes in carpets. She started working on the couch cushion, but found that she prefers carpet (thankfully).
Lovey Dovey: However, Spencer has a sweet side. She has the best tooth purr in the world. When she is in a lovey mood, she closes her eyes in blissful happiness and purrs loudly. Mom lies down beside her and whispers to her how much she loves her and Spencer, with eyes still closed, licks Mom's face.
Helper Bunny: When Mom works on school work and has papers spread out on the floor, Spencer cheerfully volunteers to help. She hops on the papers and nibbles the edges until the paper has become just the right size.
Playful: Spencer loves to play. Her favorite toys are the simple things: paper, boxes, paper bags, willow sticks, pinecones, wooden spoons, and towels. If she can throw it, it's a good toy. She claimed a rock as hers that Mom's human daughter had used to flatten leaves. It sits in her area and she sits with her front paws on it, peacefully observing her kingdom.
Friend: Each evening when Spencer goes to bed, she snuggles with Paddy and even grooms him, after having had a large salad and a treat. When Mom gets home from work, Spencer runs over to greet her - it's a marvelous feeling.
Food Critic: Spencer loves the food that her humans serve. She is appreciative of the yummy meals and shows it with twitching whiskers, twitching nose, eager eyes, and licking lips. Spencer oinks when she is excited about treats and is eager for her morning piece of banana. It is a pleasure to serve food to an appreciative bunny.
Spencer is a delightful mix of sweetness and attitude. She is a very special and well loved rabbit who knows she is The Queen.

If You Could Read Her Mind:

"Get those other rabbits out of here!!" ... "I'm busy, don't disturb me." ...
"I'm in dire need of a face rub!" " I really need a banana." ... "Mmm. Kaitlin's ankles are pretty tasty." ... "I love you, Mom."
